9. Photos Sent Through the ishotaphoto App in ChatGPT

ishotaphoto is also available as an app inside ChatGPT. When you use it there, no ishotaphoto account is needed, and the following applies in addition to the rest of this policy.

  • What we receive: The photo you attach and ask the app to process, the document type you choose, your IP address, and an anonymous user identifier supplied by OpenAI. We do not receive your ChatGPT account name, email address, or the rest of your conversation.
  • Use: The photo is used only to produce your document photo and its compliance checks, as described in Section 3. The identifier and IP address are used only to enforce daily usage limits and prevent abuse. We do not use these photos for advertising or to train AI models.
  • Service providers: Photos are stored and processed by third-party cloud infrastructure and image-processing providers that act on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations, and only to deliver the service. OpenAI handles your ChatGPT conversation under its own privacy policy.
  • Retention and deletion: Because these photos are not linked to an ishotaphoto account, the original and the processed photo are kept until you ask us to delete them. To have a photo deleted, email [email protected] with the download link of the result; we delete the photo and the derived facial data within 30 days.
